Is A2 Hosting Now Hosting.com?

Yes. A2 Hosting and Hosting.com are the same company. A2 Hosting was acquired by World Host Group (WHG) in January 2025, and in late April 2025 it switched to the Hosting.com name. If you type a2hosting.com today you are sent straight to hosting.com — we checked: a2hosting.com and its old plan pages return a permanent 301 redirect to the Hosting.com homepage.

Hosting.com wasn't a brand-new company either. It's the single global brand WHG created to bring its hosting businesses together, and A2 Hosting was folded into it.

Who Owns Hosting.com?

Hosting.com is the brand of World Host Group, which says it is "owned and run by its founders and management team" with external investors including Oakley Capital, and lenders Barings and Bain Capital. Its parent company is based in Luxembourg, and the CEO is Seb de Lemos.

The group has made 30+ acquisitions in three years. Besides A2 Hosting, FastComet and Rocket.net, they include Webcentral in Australia (formerly Melbourne IT), HostingRaja in India, ColombiaHosting in Colombia, Stablepoint and Nimbus Hosting in the UK, and Kenya Website Experts. Hosting.com reports 700,000+ clients, 3 million+ websites and customers in 181 countries, with offices from London and Nairobi to Bangalore, Manila and Bali.

A2's famous "Turbo" branding is gone, but the performance features it stood for — LiteSpeed web servers and NVMe storage — are now standard across the range. What Changed for A2 Hosting Customers

• Login: the A2 customer area is now the Hosting Panel at my.hosting.com. Professional Email (Titan) webmail is at webmail.hosting.com.

• Help docs: A2's knowledge base now lives at kb.hosting.com.

• Nameservers: domains registered with Hosting.com from 28 April 2025 use ns1–ns4.stableserver.net; some older A2 domains may still list ns1.a2hosting.com-style nameservers, which answer from the same DNS servers. Our Hosting.com nameservers page lists them all.

• Control panels: alongside cPanel, Hosting.com now sells plans on its own hosting.com panel, at the same prices.

• Managed WordPress: now runs on the Rocket.net platform, with Cloudflare Enterprise on every plan and Object Cache Pro from WP Medium up.

How to Tell if a Site Is on A2 Hosting / Hosting.com

Because the network is the same, you can still identify a site hosted there from its IP address. Enter the domain in our hosting checker: it looks up the network (ASN) behind the site's IP address and the nameservers, and names Hosting.com (A2 Hosting) when the IP is on AS55293 or the domain uses stableserver.net or a2hosting.com nameservers.
