Titan email guide showing Pro, Premium and Ultra plans with the MX, SPF and DKIM DNS records needed for Titan mail

Önemli Bilgi

Titan is a business email platform that web hosts resell under their own name — at Hosting.com it's called Professional Email. Plans are priced per mailbox: Pro (10GB), Premium (50GB) and Ultra (100GB) cost $2.99, $3.99 and $5.99 per mailbox per month for the first year, then $4.99, $6.99 and $9.99. To make it work you need two MX records (mx1.titan.email priority 10, mx2.titan.email priority 20), one SPF record with include:spf.titan.email, and a DKIM TXT record generated in the Titan admin panel. Mail clients connect to imap.titan.email:993 and smtp.titan.email:465.

What Is Titan Email?

Titan is a business email platform: mailboxes on your own domain (you@yourbusiness.com) with webmail, iOS and Android apps, a calendar, contacts and AI writing tools. Titan doesn't usually sell to you directly. Web hosts and domain registrars bundle it and often rename it, which is why many people only discover the name "Titan" when they see it in the webmail or the mobile app.

At Hosting.com (formerly A2 Hosting) Titan is sold as Professional Email. Hosting.com's own documentation says it plainly: Professional Email "runs on the Titan platform, so you may see the Titan name in webmail or in the mobile app." Everything in this guide — plans, DNS records and server settings — applies to Titan mailboxes bought there, and the DNS and IMAP/SMTP settings are the same wherever your Titan mailbox comes from.

Titan Email Plans: Pro vs Premium vs Ultra

Titan comes in three tiers. Every plan includes webmail, the mobile apps, IMAP/POP/SMTP access, spam and virus filtering and a free migration tool; the differences are storage and productivity features:

FeatureProPremiumUltra
Storage per mailbox10GB50GB100GB
Read receipts / email templates50 / 1Unlimited / unlimitedUnlimited / unlimited
External forwarders357
AI writingSmart WriteSmart Write (25 AI responses)Titan AI reply & compose, AI summary
Two-factor auth, Send Later, Tasks—YesYes
Titan Drive storage—1GB50GB
Link & attachment tracking, appointment booking, email backups——Yes

Which one to choose: Pro is enough for a solo business that sends normal volumes of email. Premium is the practical choice for a small team (two-factor login and Send Later matter once several people share a domain). Ultra is for heavy users who want 100GB mailboxes, backups and the full AI assistant.

Titan Email Pricing (Per Mailbox)

Titan is priced per mailbox, not per domain: three people means three mailboxes. Hosting.com's first-year price is discounted automatically at checkout; there is no coupon code to enter.

PlanFirst year (1-year term)First-year totalRenews atMonthly billing
Professional Email Pro$2.99/mo$35.88$4.99/mo$4.99/mo
Professional Email Premium$3.99/mo$47.88$6.99/mo$6.99/mo
Professional Email Ultra$5.99/mo$71.88$9.99/mo$9.99/mo

Only the 1-year term carries the discount — 2- and 3-year terms are billed at the regular rate, so the 1-year term is the cheapest way to start. Each plan also includes a free domain for the first year if you don't have one yet. Get Professional Email (Titan) at Hosting.com and choose Professional Email from the menu.

Titan Email DNS Records: MX, SPF and DKIM

Titan can't receive a single message until your domain's DNS points mail at it. These are the records, exactly as Hosting.com's knowledge base lists them (the host @ means the domain itself):

TypeHostValuePriorityPurpose
MX@mx1.titan.email10Primary mail server
MX@mx2.titan.email20Backup mail server
TXT (SPF)@v=spf1 include:spf.titan.email ~all—Authorises Titan to send for your domain
TXT (DKIM)Shown in Titan admin (Email Reputation)Unique public key for your domain—Signs outgoing mail
TXT (DMARC)_dmarcv=DMARC1; p=none; rua=mailto:you@yourdomain.com—Recommended: reports and policy

MX records decide where incoming mail goes; the lower priority number (10) is tried first. SPF lists the servers allowed to send as your domain — Titan's spf.titan.email include expands to all of Titan's sending networks. DKIM adds a cryptographic signature to every message; its record is unique to your domain, so you copy it from Titan's admin panel rather than from a guide. DMARC isn't required by Titan, but Gmail and Yahoo now expect it from anyone sending in volume; start with p=none and tighten it later with our DMARC generator.

How to Set Up Titan Email DNS

The steps depend on where your domain's DNS is hosted.

  • Domain and hosting both at Hosting.com (cPanel): log in to cPanel → Domains → Zone Editor → Manage. Copy and save the existing MX values, delete the old MX records, then add MX mx1.titan.email (priority 10), MX mx2.titan.email (priority 20) and a TXT record v=spf1 include:spf.titan.email ~all.

  • Domain at another registrar or DNS provider (Cloudflare, GoDaddy, Namecheap…): open that provider's DNS settings and add the same two MX records and the SPF TXT record on the root of the domain (@). Remove any MX records that point to your old email host.

  • DKIM: in the Hosting Panel go to My Emails → Manage → Admin login → Email Reputation. Copy the DKIM host name and TXT value, add them as a TXT record, tick "I've added TXT records in my DNS control panel" and click Verify changes until the DKIM status shows VERIFIED.

  • Check your work: run the domain through our MX lookup, SPF checker and DKIM checker, and watch the change spread with the DNS propagation checker. Most changes appear within an hour; allow up to 24 hours.

Uyarı

A domain can have only ONE SPF record. If you already have one (for example for Google Workspace or a newsletter tool), don't add a second — merge the includes into a single record: v=spf1 include:spf.titan.email include:_spf.google.com ~all. Two SPF records make both fail.

Titan Email IMAP, POP and SMTP Settings

To use Titan in Outlook, Apple Mail, Thunderbird or Gmail, first enable third-party access: open webmail, click the Settings gear and choose Enable Titan on other apps. Then use these settings (username = your full email address, password = your mailbox password):

ProtocolServerPortSecurity
IMAP (incoming, recommended)imap.titan.email993SSL/TLS
POP3 (incoming)pop.titan.email995SSL/TLS
SMTP (outgoing)smtp.titan.email465SSL/TLS

Choose IMAP unless you have a reason not to: it keeps the same folders and read status on every device. If your network blocks port 465, smtp.titan.email also accepts connections on port 587 (STARTTLS) — you can confirm which ports are reachable from your network with our port checker.

Titan Email Login and Webmail

Titan mailboxes bought through Hosting.com are read at webmail.hosting.com, and mailbox administration (adding users, DKIM, forwarders) happens in the Hosting Panel at my.hosting.com under My Emails. The Titan mobile apps for iOS and Android sign in with the same email address and password.

If you bought Titan somewhere else, your provider's webmail address is different, but the mail servers (imap/smtp/pop.titan.email) are the same.

Titan vs the Free Email That Comes With Hosting

You may not need Titan at all. Hosting.com's shared hosting plans already include email on your domain: 5 mailboxes on Starter, 20 on Pro and 40 on Max, each with 10GB and a 2,400-messages-per-day sending limit. That's plenty for a small website.

Titan makes sense when email matters more than the website: you want a polished webmail and mobile app, larger mailboxes, shared calendars, AI writing help, or email that keeps working independently of your hosting plan. It's also the simpler choice when you only need email and no website — pair it with a free first-year domain and you're done.

Titan Email Not Working? Common Fixes

  • Not receiving mail: check the MX records with our MX lookup. Old MX records from a previous host must be deleted, not just left at a higher priority.

  • Mail lands in spam: verify SPF with the SPF checker, finish DKIM verification in Titan's Email Reputation page, then add a DMARC record.

  • "SPF PermError" or too many lookups: you probably have two SPF records or more than ten DNS lookups; merge them into one record.

  • Outlook or Apple Mail keeps asking for the password: third-party access isn't enabled — turn on "Enable Titan on other apps" in webmail settings.

  • Changes not visible yet: DNS can take up to 24 hours. Use the DNS propagation checker to see which resolvers already have the new records.
